Lake Elmore Mountain Retreat is conveniently located just three miles south of the Elmore Store on Rt 12.
From Burlington and points North/West:
Take Interstate 89 South to Exit 10 in Waterbury. Take a left onto Rt 100 North towards Stowe and Morrisville. Keep going straight when you reach the stop sign in Stowe. You will come to a flashing red light in Morrisville. Continue straight. Just after the light, you will see signs for Rt 12. Bear a slight right onto Rt 12 towards Elmore. You will pass beautiful Lake Elmore and the Elmore Store on the right. The Retreat is exactly 3 miles past the store on the right hand side.
From St. Johnsbury and points East:
Take Interstate 91 to Vermont Exit 1, Rt 2 West. Turn right onto Rt 15 West at Joe's Pond, just past Danville. Continue on Rt 15 through the towns of Hardwick and Wolcott. Turn left at the stoplight in Morrisville onto Rt 100. Bear left at the bottom of the hill to continue on Rt 100. Go over a large green bridge and then bear right up the hill, still on Rt 100. Turn left at the flashing light at the top of the hill. Just after the light, you will see signs for Rt 12. Bear a slight right onto Rt 12 towards Elmore. You will pass beautiful Lake Elmore and the Elmore Store on the right. The Retreat is just 3 miles past the store on the right hand side.
From Boston and points South:
Take Interstate 93 North to Interstate 89 North through New Hampshire. Continue on 89 North into Vermont. Take Exit 8 in Montpelier. Turn left at signs to state capitol, then take the first right at State Street, go past the Capitol, the movies and the post office and turn left onto Route 12 (or Elm Street). Stay on Route 12 for approximately 20 miles. The Retreat is on the left hand side (4222 Route 12). If you see the Elmore Store (pictured above), you have gone exactly 3 miles too far.
From New York area:
Take 95 North, to 91 North, to 89 North. Take Exit 8 in Montpelier.Turn left at signs to state capitol, then take the first right at State Street, go past the Capitol, the movies and the post office and turn left onto Route 12 (or Elm Street). Stay on Route 12 for approximately 20 miles. The Retreat is on the left hand side (4222 Route 12). If you see the Elmore Store (pictured above), you have gone exactly 3 miles too far.
